Each capsule contains 200mg of fluconazole. Our “Broad-Spectrum Antifungal” formulation provides a potent, single-dose option for effective fungal control, leveraging fluconazole’s established efficacy against a wide array of yeasts and fungi while minimizing dosing frequency for greater convenience and compliance in treatment regimens. Fluconazole, a synthetic triazole antifungal agent, exerts its therapeutic effects primarily by inhibiting the fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme lanosterol 14-α-demethylase, leading to depletion of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, accumulation of toxic sterols, and subsequent disruption of membrane integrity and function, resulting in fungistatic or fungicidal activity without significant impact on mammalian hosts due to the enzyme’s absence or low affinity in human cells.
This mechanism also extends to preventing invasive fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, reducing dissemination in conditions like cryptococcal meningitis and systemic candidiasis, while its broad activity covers vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal thrush, and dermatophytoses for comprehensive management of superficial and deep-seated mycoses. Fluconazole also is being used for anti-cancer properties, as well as improving insulin resistance. An important part of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
